Yes… At last! I've build a new system for my home usage. It took me this long partly because I was very strict about the components. I wanted a Core 2 Duo CPU and a motherboard with nVidia chipset (680i). And I also wanted an nVidia VGA (8800GTS 640MB) and so on and so forth. In my country good computer parts are very hard to find so I've had a lot of headache and they cost me a lot more than their real price in US dollar.
The good news is it is finished and I'm really satisfied with the result (even though I may add a 2x1 Raptor 10000rpm hard drive at a later time). I even overclocked the CPU from 2.13 GHz to 3.0 GHz (an almost 50 percent gain!).
Here's the complete spec of my new Rig:
Intel Core 2 Due E6420 4MB cache @ 3.0 GHz
Asus P5N32-E SLI Motherboard (nVidia 680i chipset)
2x1GB Corsair 800 MHz DDRII RAM (XMS 2 Dominator) @ 4-4-4-12 timings
Asus GeForce 8800GTS 640 MB Graphics Card
Zalman 9500 LED CPU Fan
Samsung 320 GB Hard Drive
OCZ GameXStream 600W Power Supply
Thermaltake Soprano Computer Case
Vista Rating:
Processor: 5.6
Memory: 5.9
Graphics: 5.9
Gaming Graphics: 5.9
Primary Hard Disk: 5.7
